Book description: A curmudgeon hides a terrible personal loss beneath a cranky and short-tempered exterior while clashing with new neighbors, a boisterous family whose chattiness and habits lead to unexpected friendship as a cat whom Ove calls "Cat Annoyance" encourages him to do the right thing through judgmental stares. The Plant City Woman’s Club founded their volunteer community library in 1927. This project continued until 1959 when the residents of the City voted to fund a public library through their taxes. A small library was built by the City, staff was hired, and the library became a City department. In 1994, the Library was expanded, remodeled, and renamed in honor of Quintilla Geer Bruton and Judge James D. Bruton, Jr. The 20,000-square-foot facility currently houses:
