Discover the history of card writing and learn to write your own.
Attendees will learn how to create, write, and address a thank-you card. A brief historical background about letter writing and greeting cards will be included along with an overview of calligraphy. Suggestions about who would enjoy receiving the cards will be provided. The audience will practice writing and reading in order to enhance their literary skills, as well as using written and visual language to communicate with their intended audience. Recommended for children ages 6-12. Registration Recommended.

The Upper Tampa Bay Regional Public Library was dedicated and opened to the public on January 8, 2005. Renamed in 2017 as the Maureen B. Gauzza Public Library, the 26,000 square foot facility offers a full range of services including books, magazines, DVDs, music, Internet access, a variety of programs and activities for children and adults, a large community room for meetings, and a beautiful gazebo.
